Coffee Cart at Fina

The 16th world swimming championships took place in Melbourne last December. Almost 1000 world-class athletes from 175 countries competed in 50 swimming events across six days. The World Aquatics, formally FINA, was held at the state-of-the-art Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC). Melbourne has long been recognised as the sporting capital of Australia. It is the only city in the world with six international standard sporting venues near its central business district. World Aquatics 2022 was the first time since 2007 that the event was hosted in Australia. In a nice touch of symmetry, the 2007 event was also held in Melbourne’s MSAC. Hosted on Bunurong Country, the Championships provided an opportunity to showcase two of the oldest living cultures in the world. Roasting Warehouse had the privilege of showcasing the heart of Melbourne’s culture, coffee. We were allowed to serve the incredible athletes and spectators our world-class coffee from our coffee cart throughout the competition. At the end of the competition, the USA came in first, with 36 medals, followed by Australia with 26 medals and Italy with 16 medals. The next Aquatic World Championships is set to be held mid-2023 in Japan.
