How Our Biscoff Iced Latte Went From Customer Idea To Best-Seller in One Weekend
You may have seen on our socials we ran our first ever “Design a Drink” competition, inviting our community to submit their dream cafe drink for their chance to win a month's supply of it for free.
The response was huge. We saw everything from indulgent iced creations (think Biscoff, Bueno, Pistachio, Cookie Dough…), a ton of matcha variations, and lots of cold foam requests, but one ingredient kept appearing again and again. Biscoff.
So we put it to a vote. We ran a poll featuring our customers’ most requested drink ideas, and Biscoff Iced Latte won by a mile.
After officially launching the Biscoff Iced Latte on Friday, the weekend saw it become our fastest-selling drink by far. For context, in one weekend it sold 422.86% more than any of our other specialty drinks.
Because this drink was created by customers, it already had demand built in. There’s no need to educate or upsell heavily, people recognise Biscoff instantly and know exactly what they’re ordering.
Here’s how you can replicate its success in your own cafe.
The Recipe
Biscoff Base Mix (Yields approx. 1L)
Ingredients

1.2 kg Biscoff spread

200 g coffee (strong brewed or concentrate)

100 g neutral oil

700 g water
Method

Combine Biscoff spread, coffee, and neutral oil in a heat-safe container.

Microwave for 30 seconds to loosen (do not boil).

Mix until smooth and fully emulsified.

Add 700 g water.

Blend or whisk thoroughly until uniform.
This base can be made in advance and stored ready for service.
Biscoff Cream
Ingredients

400 g thickened cream

200 g prepared Biscoff base mix

Combine and whip lightly until thickened but still pourable.
